Andrew Ormerod

Hello! I am a Texas native, born in Kilgore, TX and raised in Lewisville, TX on the north side of the DFW metroplex. I attended the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) where I studied International Business Administration, earning my BBA in 2015. While at UTA, I was a part of the Goolsby Leadership Academy. As a Goolsby scholar I learned about leadership through integrity, courage, and impact. I also met my beautiful wife, Ashley Carter, D.O. at UTA.

In addition to my BBA, I also completed the Associate of Applied Science in Paralegal Studies program at the Dallas College El Centro Campus earning my degree in the Spring of 2024. My professional career includes roles such as Retail Store Manager at PPG Paints, Police Officer with the Dothan Police Department, Client Immigration Representative with Berry Appleman, and Leiden (BAL), and Administrative Support at MOREgroup, an architect firm in Fort Worth.

I love to read a good science-fiction or fantasy book, go for a hike or run in a weekend 5K. I also enjoy spending time with my two dogs Frankie and Odin, visiting with family, going camping and or hunting (the great outdoors in general) and catching up with friends. I have been a member of DAPA since I started taking night classes at Dallas College in 2021 and have helped with event planning committees for Paralegal Day, Career Day, and the annual Holiday Party as well as holding the role of Assistant Treasurer for Q4 of 2024.
