Lisa McComb and Melissa Unsell are the Founders of Rectify. 

Lisa’s expertise in this space results from her 22 years as a paralegal in the corporate legal department at SBC Communications (now AT&T). Melissa has over 20+ years of legal data experience and has many stories around the experience of large data sets, short timelines, as well as locating and removing sensitive content.

The core Rectify team met and worked together when SBC began conducting mergers to re-create what is now AT&T. Beyond that, they also handled other types of litigation such as Asbestos Class Actions, employment cases, and contract disputes. They were an integral part of the legal team and worked with hundreds of outside counsel to manage sensitive documents leaving the company. They were seen as the “experts” in protecting sensitive data in documents, so much so, that SBC provided funding for the Rectify team to start their own company. 

Rectify works every single day to minimize the human interaction involved with locating and protecting private data in documents and is replacing decades-old technology.
