Toya Walker

Toya Walker is a multi-talented legal and certified compliance professional who has dedicated her life to serving others in the legal profession and the community. Ms. Walker graduated cum laude in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In 2000, Ms. Walker completed her first year of legal studies toward a Juris Doctor degree at Southern University Law Center. In 2002, Ms. Walker graduated from Southeastern Paralegal Institute in Dallas, Texas, where she obtained her paralegal certificate, which is approved by the American Bar Association. 

Ms. Walker became certified compliance and ethics professional in 2017 and is a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Walker is described as having a positive attitude, being enthusiastic, and a servant leader in the legal profession and the community. She served as a member of the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition Texas Advisory Committee, NALA Continuing Education Council, and Ambassador of the J.L. Turner Legal Association – Paralegal Section. She is the recipient of the State Bar of Texas Paralegal Division 2018 Exceptional Pro Bono Award.

Ellen Leavell

Ellen Leavell is an extremely respected and knowledgeable leader specializing in legal, compliance and risk. She is a talented compliance executive with a strong and diverse legal background. During her 35+ year career, Ellen has established herself as a specialist within the restaurant and hospitality sector. As Vice President/Legal & Risk for Gordon Ramsay North America, Ellen oversees all legal matters including liquor law compliance, licensing, contracts, intellectual property, employment and litigation matters, compliance with government agency policies and procedures in various regions, uniformity, adherence to requirements of specific code regulations and ensuring restaurant ADA compliance. Before joining GRNA, Ellen worked for Tasty Restaurant Group and Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, as well as several law firms. Career highlights include serving as a team lead and collaborator with legal counsel on the $325M acquisition of Barteca Holdings, $32M sale of Sullivan’s Steakhouse and $650M sale of Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group. Ellen graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business from Dallas Baptist University in Dallas and has an associate degree in paralegal studies from an American Bar Association approved program. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas [Paralegal Division], National Association of Licensing Compliance Professions [NALCP] and is a former member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics. Ellen is passionate about encouraging young people to pursue a legal career and was an Adjunct Professor at Tyler Junior College in Tyler and a guest speaker at Southern Methodist University [SMU]. She also supports charitable endeavors with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance.
