Presentation Synopsis.

Substantial Obstacles to Obstetric Healthcare: A Legal Look & Historical Analysis into Reproduction Rights of Underrepresented Women in the South

The topic of reproductive healthcare and the laws surrounding reproductive rights are laden with contention. The most recent leak of SCOTUS’ opinion on overturning Roe v. Wade has opened the door for a timely and honest discussion on reproductive and individual rights in America. Substantial Obstacles in Obstetric Healthcare dives into reproductive rights in Southern states, specifically Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. By looking into the social and political history of abortion rights in the country, we can look into the future implications of the possible loss of privacy and individual rights.

Your Speaker.
