Erin Kearney, General Counselor for the Texas Rangers

Erin will speak about her thoughts on aspects of  teamwork, attributes of a cohesive team, managing problems,  leadership,  and how to approach these  from her experiences.

Speaker Bio: Erin Kearney joined the Rangers as Senior Corporate Counsel in January 2020 and was promoted to Associate General Counsel in June 2022. Erin has been working in law for over 20 years, starting out as a paralegal and then as a lawyer for another 12 years.  She worked mainly in private practice in New York City prior to joining the Rangers and the world of professional baseball.  What started out as a legal career representing commercial mortgage lenders transitioned unexpectedly into a practice focused on sports teams and their real estate developments, ranging from regional moves of NFL teams to the construction of new venues across all major sports leagues.  Through her work at DLA Piper, Erin was able to nurture a client relationship with the legal team at the Rangers and later successfully lobby for her transition to Rangers’ employee and Texas resident.   

CLE:  1.0 hour of general paralegal CLE credit issued through DAPA.
